My friends have already seen this: I posted it on my Facebook profile back in the fall…However this is a snapshot not of a particular day, but of most days and I thought I’d post it here as I settle down to write today with my muse-dog snuggled down beside me. This photo is the epitome of my life as a writer: I’m sitting on the floor, laptop on the coffee table, with my “muse” by my side. (I do sometimes work on a table or on the couch—and early novels were written at a desk—but these days I do my best writing on the floor with the dog.)
